The Journey of Self-Awareness

The Department of Psychology at Ajman University proudly announces the success of a meaningful outreach initiative titled "The Journey of Self-Awareness," led by a group of exceptional female psychology students under the supervision of Dr. Rasha Abdelrahman, Head of the Department.

As part of the university's commitment to community engagement and social responsibility, our students conducted a special visit to Al-Shuala Secondary School in Ajman, where they held an impactful session with high school students on the topic of adolescence and self-awareness.

The event focused on exploring the emotional and psychological challenges that accompany adolescence, with open discussions, personal reflections, and professional insights. The students from Ajman University delivered outstanding presentations that demonstrated not only their deep understanding of psychological principles but also remarkable confidence, empathy, and communication skills.

The interaction with Al-Shuala’s students was vibrant and engaging, creating a positive space for dialogue, support, and growth. It was a powerful example of how academic knowledge can be transformed into real-world impact, contributing to emotional well-being in the broader community.

A heartfelt thank you to Al-Shuala Secondary School for their warm welcome and collaboration, and sincere appreciation to our inspiring psychology students for their leadership and passion:

Fatma Albanda, Maab Yasser, Nousiba Noreldin, Shahed, Ouhod Ali, Fatima Hani, and Roaa Samar — your dedication is a shining example of what it means to learn, lead, and give back.

This initiative reflects Ajman University’s continued dedication to building bridges between academic excellence and societal well-being.
