Thursday, Feb 01, 2024

In a remarkable display of community solidarity and compassion, the Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Ajman University and the Forum of Mothers of People with Rare Diseases in Africa and the Middle East, launched the impactful initiative titled "Together to Be Support."

This initiative shines as a light of hope, empathy, and resilience, aimed at honoring and empowering the mothers of individuals of determination—unsung heroes who embody strength, love, and tireless dedication in supporting their children.

At the core of the program is a commitment to raising awareness and providing meaningful support through a series of educational lectures, interactive workshops, and group therapy sessions. These activities were thoughtfully designed to offer emotional support and practical tools to families navigating the unique challenges associated with raising children with rare conditions or disabilities.

The initiative emphasizes the critical role that parents—particularly mothers—play in nurturing, advocating for, and integrating students of determination into society. It fosters a nurturing community where shared experiences translate into mutual strength, understanding, and encouragement.

Ajman University extends its sincere gratitude to all the sponsors and partners who contributed to the success of this program. Their support reflects a shared commitment to inclusion, mental health, and the well-being of families across the region.

"Together to Be Support" stands as a powerful reminder that when communities come together, real change happens—creating lasting impact for those who need it most.
