College of Humanities & Sciences and College of Business Administration Debate the Future of Artificial Intelligent at AU

An engaging intercollegiate debate titled "Artificial Intelligence: A Force for Progress or a Threat to Humanity?" was recently held between the College of Humanities and Sciences, Languages and Culture Department, and the College of Business Administration, Management Department. Twelve students participated, forming affirmative and negative teams that demonstrated a high standard of preparation, teamwork, and critical thinking across two rounds.

Throughout the debate, participants exhibited strong research capabilities, analytical rigor, and articulate communication, critically examining the multifaceted implications of Artificial Intelligence, including its potential advantages and associated risks. The event was conducted with professionalism and fairness, under the careful coordination of the adjudicators, moderators, and organizing committee.

The debate fostered a vibrant atmosphere of respectful dialogue, intellectual engagement, and academic excellence. A final and decisive third round is scheduled to take place next week, and we look forward to recognizing and celebrating the remarkable efforts of all participants.
