Psychology Department Participates in Dubai’s Mental Health Month

Dr. Rasha Presents Workshop “A Teenager at Home”

As part of Dubai’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Month, Dr. Rasha Head of Psychology department, College of Humanities and Sciences, delivered an engaging and insightful workshop titled “A Teenager at Home” at the Wellbeing Center for Mental Health in Dubai.

The workshop focused on understanding the different stages of adolescence, highlighting the developmental, emotional, cognitive, and social changes that occur during this critical period. Dr. Rasha discussed the needs and challenges faced by teenagers and provided practical guidance for parents, educators, and caregivers on how to communicate effectively and support adolescents in healthy ways at each stage.

The interactive session encouraged audience participation through open discussions, questions, and experience sharing, creating a dynamic exchange of ideas that resonated with attendees. Real-life scenarios and thoughtful dialogue enriched the learning experience and helped participants better understand how to navigate the complexities of adolescence.
