As part of the Psychology Program’s commitment to providing students with valuable experiential learning opportunities, Dr. Rasha, Head of the Psychology Department, led a group of 15 psychology students from Ajman University to attend the Culturally Adapted Behavioral Activation (BA) Training held at Ras Al Khaimah Medical and Health Sciences University (RAKMHSU) on October 15–16, 2025.
This two-day training, conducted in collaboration with the University of Leeds (UK), introduced participants to one of the region’s first culturally adapted Behavioral Activation programs—an evidence-based therapeutic approach focusing on managing anxiety, grief, depression, and psychological stressors through structured and practical strategies.
The experience proved to be highly enriching and insightful for students, enhancing their understanding of mental health interventions and equipping them with practical tools for future professional practice.
