The Department of Education Organized a Workshop on Educational Inspection and Quality Assurance

The Department of Education at the College of Humanities and Sciences organized impactful workshops under the theme “Educational Inspection and Quality Assurance” for professional postgraduate Diploma in Teaching students.

 The workshop provided valuable insights into the role of inspection frameworks in enhancing educational quality and supporting continuous school improvement. Key topics included the purpose and structure of inspection frameworks, key evaluation domains, evidence and data used in inspection, expectations for teachers, school self-evaluation, and school improvement planning.

Participants explored effective approaches to improving inspection procedures and strengthening evaluation and assessment practices. The workshop also highlighted the importance of using reliable evidence and data to inform educational decisions and align school development initiatives with high-impact quality standards.

A key focus of the workshop was understanding how inspection frameworks can serve not only as mechanisms for accountability but also as effective instruments for sustainable school development and continuous improvement.
