Chemistry of the metals and semiconductors. Introduction to organic chemistry, bonding, and types of hybridization in the carbon atom, alkanes, and cycloalkanes, alkyl and halogen substituents. Alkenes and alkynes, Diels-Alder reaction. Types, properties, and use of polymers.
