| Abstract |
Banan is an electronic health record (EHR) system designed to provide patient health record data management in the UAE. This system was built using different technologies like ReactJS to build the system interface and functionality and Xampp for our database management system, and we have used the hashing functions to provide data protection, Banan aims to provide seamless data transformation between the patient and healthcare providers.
In Banan the patient can register their accounts using UAE Pass, while healthcare providers can access the patient health records via their fingerprint, this enhances the different healthcare services like and limited to, viewing their medical record, conducting blood tests, providing emergency services etc..., and all of this with an easy and secure system.
One of Banan’s key features is that it’s ability to provide the patient with the ability to transfer their medical records to any hospital in UAE, and this ensures that the patient has continuing care while eliminating the need for repetitive medical testing and paperwork.
The name Banan was inspired by the holy Quran, where it’s an Arabic word means the finger, symbolizes the role of the biometrics used in our system, where through the fingerprint, the healthcare providers gain access to the patient data, and this reflects our main goal of having seamless connectivity and transformation between the patient and their health records.
