This report introduces AU Chat, a dedicated academic communication platform dedicated to the Ajman University students and staff. The system was created to combat problems posed by the use of WhatsApp groups created by students themselves, including unorganized discussions, spam messages, repeating questions and inconsistent access to academic information. AU Chat offers a structured, authenticated and course-based environment for students who are automatically placed into the correct subject and section groups. The application incorporates key academic tools such as real-time messaging, announcements, events, file sharing, direct messages and an AI-powered academic advisor. Built with the help of Flutter and Firebase, the system guarantees fast performance, security, and real-time smooth communication. This report describes the motivation of the system, objectives, functional and non-functional requirements, design diagrams and general system architecture. AU Chat has the goal of enhancing academic communication capabilities by providing a unified, organized and spam-free platform that will increase collaboration, support student needs and facilitate easier interactions between faculty and students.
