Abstract The purpose of this project is to spread awareness as well as providing a pragmatic solution of eventually finding abandoned animal shelters. We will attempt to create an online mobile application that can connect the pet owners with potential candidates that can provide a shelter for the animals while the owners leave the country. The purpose of our mobile application, PAWH! is to address the need for an all-in-one mobile application for those interested in the wellbeing of animals. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) currently faces an overwhelming rate of abandoned animals. Loss of jobs and high costs of pet maintenance are possible contributing factors to this unfortunate state. Lack of foster homes and packed animal shelters also are the reasons why animals are found on the streets. With more people leaving the country, more pets will be abandoned, and thus we must do something to help provide a safe and friendly environment for the abandoned pets. We believe this application can help to face this quandary and promote the potential adoption of pets by providing a one-stop support to those who presently own pets or are interested to adopt one.
