Empowering Future Educators: Workshop on Inclusive Learning by Ms. Noor Abusneneh

On Saturday, April 12, the Department of Education at Ajman University hosted an impactful workshop as part of its ongoing efforts to promote inclusive education. The session, “Empowering Teachers to Support SEND: In-Class Adjustments and Accommodations for Inclusive Learning,” was conducted by Ms. Noor Abusneneh, a specialist in inclusive education and learning support.

Aimed at students enrolled in the Educational Psychology Course at the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching program, the workshop provided practical strategies and tools to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in mainstream classrooms. Ms. Abusneneh engaged participants in thoughtful discussions and interactive activities, highlighting the importance of differentiated instruction, individualized support, and fostering a culture of empathy and inclusion.

This initiative aligns with the Department of Education’s broader vision to cultivate a new generation of educators who are knowledgeable and deeply committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education. By integrating inclusive practices into the core of teacher education, the department aims to ensure that every learner—regardless of ability—has access to quality education in a supportive environment.

The event underscored the department’s dedication to empowering future educators with the skills, values, and mindset needed to meet the diverse needs of today’s classrooms and to champion inclusive learning across the educational spectrum.
