Fujairah Campus Students Awarded for National Day Celebrations

His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of culture, youth and community development awarded the winners of Cultural and Heritage Awards launched by the Ministry. Ajman University of Science and Technology, Fujairah campus students brought home many awards at the competition for distinguished Universities that was held during the ceremonies of the 43th UAE National Day. It features the great initiatives and works from all the universities and institutes in UAE who celebrated the National day with fervor. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development announced the competition result earlier this month.  

The award covered three key areas, first relates to providing the best idea for the celebration of the state's National Day 43, and the second about the best heritage fashion, and the third about the best panel of Arabic calligraphy.

Fujairah student, Hessah Sehhi, won the second position in the Arabic Calligraphy. Student Aisha Mohammed al-Hassani, secured the third position for best design of UAE fashion for children. In the same competition, Student Sandiyah Mohammed Zouaydi won the third place.

The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Hussain Ibn Ibrahim Al-Hamadi, Minister of Education, His Excellency Afra Al Sabri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development and the Directors of the Departments from the Ministries of Education, Culture, Youth and Community Development.

It is worth mentioning that the participation of Ajman University – Fujairah Campus comes as part of the national celebration of the 43rd National Day in which hundreds of students from different universities participated. Officers from the Ministry of Culture visited all universities during the activities of celebration back in December 2014 to take closer look for better evaluation.
