About Us

At Ajman University, social responsibility is a core part of who we are. We take pride in being recognized with 5 QS Stars for Social Responsibility, a testament to our unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on society. The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is dedicated to creating a meaningful impact by utilizing a diverse set of resources, including educational expertise, logistical support, and moral guidance. We work to enhance Ajman University's involvement in community activities. This commitment comes to life through the active participation of our faculty, staff, and students in various community events and initiatives. By collaborating with local government offices, partnering with charitable organizations, and engaging with community leaders, we strive to create opportunities that benefit both our students and society at large.

Community Initiatives

Throughout the academic year, the Community Service Unit (CSU) organizes a variety of volunteering community activities and initiatives, workshops, field visits, and seminars. The CSU also aims to actively participate in off-campus community events at both the local and regional levels. In collaboration with community authorities, the CSU offers a wide range of awareness sessions covering topics such as human and social development, personal finance, health and awareness, innovation, community sustainability indicators, and other themes of interest to both our students and the wider community.

At Ajman University, we are committed to creating meaningful and sustainable community initiatives that make a real difference. Through long-term projects and partnerships, we strive to address community needs, inspire positive change, and create lasting social impact.

As part of this commitment, we are proud to introduce the following community initiatives:

Mobile Dental Clinic

Launched by Ajman University in 2018, the AU Mobile Dental Clinic provides essential dental care to underserved communities through a fully equipped mobile unit. The clinic offers oral health education, dental check-ups, preventive and basic restorative treatments, and emergency care, helping improve access to quality dental services for those who need them most, including labour camps, schools, senior citizens, and People of Determination.

Legal Clinic

A community support initiative offering free advice to help people better understand their rights and get guidance on common legal issues.

Competitions & Awards

The Community Service Unit coordinates with Ajman University's colleges to encourage students to take part in various local, Arab, regional, and international competitions that highlight the value of community engagement.

The Majra Award

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Majra launched the UAE Companies for Good Strategy 2031 at Qasr Al Watan. The strategy aims to strengthen the role of the private sector in supporting sustainability and social impact in the UAE.

During the event, organizations that made real and measurable contributions to society were recognized through the Impact Seal. Ajman University proudly received the Platinum Category of the Impact Seal 2025 for its strong commitment to creating lasting social impact across the UAE.

Aoun Award

Ajman University’s Team Aoun for Community Service (Emirates Red Crescent Club) secured second place among six universities in the 13th cycle of the Aoun Award for Community Service 2024–2025. Organized by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the award recognizes outstanding community service initiatives across the UAE.

The team received a cash prize for its humanitarian and community-focused efforts. During the academic year, the club launched 30 initiatives supporting underprivileged families, patients, and orphans, achieving 1,550 volunteer hours with 1,236 volunteers and benefiting over 6,500 individuals.

Key initiatives included charity campaigns, blood donation drives, hospital visits, orphan support programs, and innovative projects such as TechCare Mobile and LungiTech, which integrate smart technology and AI into healthcare and community service.

The achievement reflects Ajman University’s commitment to volunteerism, social responsibility, and empowering students to contribute to the UAE’s Sustainable Development Goals.

QS Ranking – 5 Stars

Ajman University earned a Five QS Stars rating for Social Responsibility, recognizing its strong commitment to community service and social impact.

AU students actively apply their academic knowledge through volunteer initiatives locally and internationally. Dentistry students provide supervised, free dental services in clinics and on campus, while the university’s mobile dental unit supports underserved communities across the UAE.

These initiatives reflect Ajman University’s dedication to compassion, volunteerism, and sustainable community development.
