Networking event with new students 2019-2020

The Student Housing Office organized a networking event for new students at the Female Student Residence at Ajman University.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Dalia Bedewy, manager of the Student Counselling Unit, Dr. Fetta Djessas, manager of university medical services, along with hostel supervisors.
Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi welcomed the students of housing, especially the new students and emphasized the University's interest in stimulating the emergence of positive energies and innovations of housing students. She called on the students to coordinate with the Deanship of Student Affairs and / or the Office of University Housing if they had any comments or proposals to ensure comfort and stability.
During the event Dr. Dalia Bedewy, manager of the Student Counselling Unit, presented a comprehensive presentation on the student counselling services, upcoming events and activities and invited the students to participate. She also stressed that the office would play a big role in helping students who face any emotional difficulties during their time at the university.
In addition, Dr. Fetta Djessas, manager of university medical services emphasized the role of the team members at the office of medical services and ensured that they would provide the best healthcare services to students related to any medical issues that may occur during their stay at AU residence.
Furthermore, Ms. Zakia Almerri, female residence in-charge, made a presentation about hostel rules and occupancy. She invited students to get involved in social events and activities, including female the residential club. She informed students on the upcoming evacuation exercise in October, asking them to cooperate and to vacate the building as fast as possible and in a safe manner.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Nahla Al Qassimi gave a special thank you and honored the President of the female residential club, student Duaa al shaibi, who was last year’s president of FRC and was a part of the team that managed events and activities at the residence. At the end of the networking event, there was a raffle draw for all attendees with various prizes.
