In observance of World Diabetes Day, the Office of Student Housing (Female Hostel) and the Office of Medical Services, in collaboration with Thumbay University Hospital, hosted a health awareness event at the Ajman University Female Dormitory under the theme: “For a Better Life with Diabetes.” This initiative was part of the university’s broader commitment to promoting health and well-being within its student community.
Aligned with the global theme “Empowering Global Health,” the event aimed to raise awareness about diabetes, emphasize the importance of early detection and self-care, and foster a supportive environment for individuals living with or at risk of diabetes. The event encouraged students to adopt healthier lifestyle choices while building a campus culture of compassion and knowledge-sharing.
Health Services Offered on spot and Throughout November:
Students had the opportunity to receive individualized assessments and expert guidance on managing or preventing diabetes through lifestyle adjustments, including diet and physical activity.
Light refreshments were served, and all participants received certificates of attendance, recognizing their engagement in health promotion activities.
