Type of Activity: SDG3- For Health and Well - Being of all.
Organizer office: Health Services

On November 27, 2024, the Office of Medical Services at Ajman University, in collaboration with the Emirates Health Services (EHS), organized two targeted awareness sessions to mark World AIDS Day. The sessions were specifically tailored for both male and female students, addressing the unique needs and concerns of each group.

This initiative focused on the importance of prevention, education, and empowerment in the global fight against HIV/AIDS. By providing students with accurate information and practical guidance, the sessions aimed to dispel myths, reduce stigma, and promote responsible health behaviours. The sessions encouraged open communication, allowing students to voice their concerns and seek clarification on sensitive topics.

The OMS emphasized the vital role of comprehensive sexual health education, the promotion of safe practices, and the creation of a supportive campus environment. Through these efforts, the university seeks to empower students to make informed decisions, protect themselves and others, and contribute to a culture of awareness and care.
