In observance of World Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Office of Medical Services, in collaboration with Saudi German Hospital Ajman and the UAE Red Crescent, organized an interactive session titled “Hands-On Breast Self-Examination (BSE): A Life-Saving Practice” on October 16, 2025, at the Medical Clinic, Student Hub.

The event provided an open platform for dialogue on women’s sexual and reproductive health, helping to break barriers and reduce stigma surrounding these vital topics. Participants gained practical experience through hands-on BSE training, empowering them with the knowledge and confidence needed for early detection and prevention.

The session saw enthusiastic participation from students and staff and included free specialist consultations, nutrition assessments, and personalized guidance by Dr Nutrition.

Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the initiative reinforced Ajman University’s commitment to fostering a healthy, informed, and inclusive community. The event concluded with pink-themed refreshments, symbolizing unity, compassion, and the collective fight against breast cancer.
