Green Hostel Day – Plant & Grow Workshop

The Office of Students Housing organized the “Green Hostel Day: Plant & Grow Workshop” on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Hostel Garden Area. The activity aimed to promote sustainability, environmental awareness, and hands-on learning among hostel residents. The event encouraged students to engage in eco-friendly practices and take an active role in creating a greener community within the hostel.

Hostel residents participated in a practical planting session, where they learned how to care for indoor and outdoor plants, maintain green spaces, and adopt simple ways to contribute to environmental protection. The initiative was well-received, with students showing enthusiasm, teamwork, and a strong interest in supporting sustainability efforts.

This initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 13: Climate Action, by encouraging greener lifestyles and environmental responsibility within the hostel community.

The workshop contributed to building environmental awareness and strengthening community engagement among hostel residents. The Office of Students Housing remains committed to advancing initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability within the hostel community.
