Type of Activity: UN SDGs
Organizer office: Student Housing Office

As part of Ajman University’s commitment to community service, volunteering, and supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) and United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the Office of Students Housing, in collaboration with the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation and Goumbook, participated in the “Together We Serve” Community Meal Packing Event.

The initiative provided students with a meaningful opportunity to support low-income families, orphaned children, and individuals in need, while also learning about food sustainability and the impact of collective action. It emphasized the importance of partnerships, youth engagement, and responsible consumption in advancing sustainable development.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from hostel residents representing various colleges, supported by hostel supervisors and the student engagement team. Through this hands-on experience, students enhanced their leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility skills, while strengthening their connection to the community.

The “Together We Serve” initiative reflects Ajman University’s dedication to service, sustainability, and student development, inspiring participants to remain active contributors to future volunteering efforts.
