On November 26, 2025, the Center for Inclusive Learning at the Deanship of Student Services organized a workshop that aimed to deepen participants’ understanding of addiction through a scientific and psychological lens, highlighting the biological mechanisms behind addictive behaviors and the social factors that contribute to them. The session was presented by Dr. Gabriel Andrade, Assistant Professor at the College of Medicine, and moderated by Ms. Doaa Al Salti, Administrative Assistant at the Counseling Unit. Dr. Andrade emphasized the importance of early intervention, awareness, and evidence-based prevention strategies. The session provided attendees with practical insights to support healthier choices, foster resilience, and promote a more informed and supportive university community.
