Type of Activity: Comprehensive Health Screening, Nutritional Counselling
Organizer office: Health Services

In observance of World Diabetes Day, the Office of Medical Services proudly partnered with Saudi German Hospital, Ajman and Dr Nutrition to host a health awareness event on November 6th, 2025, at the AU Medical Clinic, Student Hub. The event saw enthusiastic participation from AU community, reflecting our commitment to fostering a healthier environment. Participants benefited from a range of free health services, including comprehensive body parameter assessments such as vital signs check, blood sugar and cholesterol testing,  helping attendees gain a clearer understanding of their health status, and advanced body composition analysis and Nutritionist counselling from Dr Nutrition, sharing valuable insights into the powerful role of diet and lifestyle in managing diabetes.

Personalized one-on-one counselling sessions highlighted the impact of diabetes across life stages—Type 1 diabetes during adolescence and its influence on growth and development, and Type 2 diabetes affecting overall reproductive health—alongside practical guidance on nutrition and lifestyle management.

The event created a welcoming space for personalized health conversations, allowing individuals to ask questions, receive tailored advice, and take proactive steps toward better well-being. As a token of appreciation, all participants received a themed gift, adding a thoughtful touch to the experience.
