The Office of Medical Services (OMS), in collaboration with Emirates Health Services – Al Hamidiya Medical Center (Ajman), has launched the Quit Smoking Challenge Campaign, a structured initiative designed to support community members in building healthier habits and embracing a smoke-free future.
As the first step of the campaign, OMS conducted an awareness session on smoking and its consequences on 17 February 2026, delivered by Dr. Samer Mohieldin Nehlawi at the Medical Clinic. The session witnessed strong participation, with many community members showing enthusiasm and motivation to take positive steps toward quitting smoking and supporting others in their journey.
Participants were encouraged to undergo a Breath Carbon Monoxide Test, which helps assess smoking impact and establish a baseline for progress tracking.
The campaign will continue during Ramadan with follow-up testing for enrolled participants, and will conclude after Ramadan with final testing, progress results, recognition of achievements, and continued support. Certificates of appreciation and valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners.
