The Office of Students Housing at Ajman University successfully organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Event titled “A Touch of Pink, A Lot of Hope!” on 14 October 2026 at the AU Female Hostel. The event was fully organized and coordinated by the Female Hostel Supervisors, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote women's health, and emphasize the importance of early detection. The awareness session was delivered by Dr. Marwah Fathy from Saudi German Hospital Ajman, in collaboration with Dr. Fetta Djessas, Senior Medical Services Manager at Ajman University, and the University's nursing team. The event featured an informative awareness session, interactive activities, giveaways, and a specially prepared pink cake, creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for participants. A key highlight of the event was a practical breast examination demonstration conducted by Ajman University nurses, providing students with valuable hands-on learning opportunities and enhancing their understanding of breast health, self-examination techniques, and the importance of early detection. The event encouraged female hostel residents to actively participate, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge in a supportive and interactive environment. Overall, “A Touch of Pink, A Lot of Hope!” was a meaningful and successful initiative that combined health awareness, practical education, and community engagement, reinforcing Ajman University's commitment to promoting women's health, well-being, and preventive healthcare. |
