In this webinar, organized by the Center for Inclusive Learning, students explored the impact of social media misinformation on mood and mental well-being. The session was delivered by Dr. Amal Mohamed Abdelmawla, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, College of Humanities at City University Ajman, and moderated by Samah Abusniemeh, Psychological Counselor. The discussion highlighted how misleading or overwhelming digital content can contribute to stress, anxiety, and symptoms related to depression, affecting emotional balance and daily life.

Students were equipped with practical strategies to critically evaluate online content, manage screen time, and cope with the emotional impact of social media. The session emphasized building awareness, resilience, and healthy digital habits, encouraging a more balanced mood and improved overall mental well-being.
