The Office of Students Housing organized an Eid Al Fitr celebration for female dormitory residents within the hostel premises to mark the joyful occasion and create a warm, festive atmosphere among students. The event aimed to bring residents together, celebrate cultural traditions, and strengthen the sense of community within the dormitory.
The celebration included a friendly gathering where students shared sweets and traditional treats, exchanged greetings, and enjoyed the festive spirit of Eid. Residents from different backgrounds participated, creating a culturally rich and inclusive environment that reflected the values of unity and togetherness. The event provided an opportunity for students to relax, connect, and celebrate away from their families while still experiencing the joy of the occasion. Overall, the Eid Al Fitr celebration was successful in fostering happiness, social interaction, and a strong sense of belonging among residents. As many residents are away from their families during Eid, this activity played an important role in supporting their emotional well-being and helping them feel connected and included within the hostel community. Therefore, the event can be linked to UNSDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, as it promoted emotional support, happiness, and positive social interaction, and to UNSDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by ensuring that students living away from their families had the opportunity to celebrate in an inclusive and supportive environment.
