Enhancing Academic Advising for Student Success

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, in collaboration with the Student Success Center, Teaching and Learning Center, and the Office of IT, organized a faculty development workshop titled “Enhancing Academic Advising for Student Success” on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The focus was on strengthening academic advising through real student experiences, practical advising scenarios, and data-driven advising tools. The workshop went beyond traditional policy-focused approaches, offering practical advising examples, reflective discussions, and takeaways that can be immediately applied. A panel of experienced colleagues from the University of Birmingham Dubai, Middlesex University Dubai, and Zayed University shared insights and best practices to support student success.
