Hostel Creative Team: Ideas, Connection & Creativity

What can make hostel life more engaging, creative, and connected? The Hostel Creative Team came together to share ideas and discuss activities for the 2026–2027 academic year, with a focus on creating enjoyable and meaningful experiences for residents. The meeting brought forward a variety of creative suggestions, including a Karaoke Night with a special dress code, Girlytan Day, a girls-only celebration inspired by Valentine’s Day, and a marathon. The team also suggested educational trips during weekdays and recreational trips on Thursdays and Fridays, giving residents opportunities to explore, learn, relax, and spend quality time together. The gathering also provided an opportunity to review the roles and responsibilities of team members for the academic year. Through collaboration and the continued exchange of ideas, the team aims to encourage greater student participation, strengthen teamwork, and create activities that reflect residents’ interests. The initiative also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) by promoting well-being, inclusive participation, learning opportunities, and a strong sense of community. In particular, the activities contribute to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 5 – Gender Equality, and SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities. |
More than just planning events, the Hostel Creative Team provides a space for residents to share their voices and actively contribute to hostel life. With more ideas to come throughout the year, the team looks forward to building a lively, connected, inclusive, and welcoming community within the Female Residence.
