International Day of Education Symposium

On the occasion of the International Day of Education, the Counseling Unit organized a symposium on January 22, 2026, under the theme “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation.” The event explored the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and education, emphasizing ethical engagement, critical thinking, and human-centered learning. Sessions included When Technology Listens: Creating Inclusive Classrooms in the Age of AI, Redefining the Role of Education in an AI World, Smart Classrooms, Strong Minds: Keeping Humanity at the Center of Learning, and What AI Can’t Replace: Creativity, Curiosity, and Human Imagination.

Speakers from various universities shared diverse perspectives, providing valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into education.
