Center for Inclusive Learning, students explored the topic “Scrolling and Struggling: How Social Media Misinformation Impacts ADHD.” The session was delivered by Dr. Nida Khan, Instructor of Psychology and Licensed Psychologist (ACTVET) at Fatima College of Health Sciences, and moderated by Samah Abusniemah, Psychological Counselor. The discussion focused on how misinformation on social media can shape perceptions of ADHD, increase confusion, and influence individuals’ understanding of their symptoms and treatment.

The session also highlighted how excessive exposure to unverified content can contribute to distraction, emotional distress, and difficulties in attention and self-regulation. Students were introduced to practical strategies to critically assess online information, reduce digital overload, and maintain healthy online habits. Emphasis was placed on promoting awareness, informed decision-making, and supporting overall psychological well-being in the digital age.
