International Students

Follow these steps.
1. Apply Online

Prepare all required documentation and certificates.

  • Official secondary school certificate/transcripts certified from the country of origin by by the authorized educational authority, the country’s ministry of foreign affairs and the UAE Embassy
  • Equivalency certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education for high school certificate from a school outside the UAE and Foreign high school certificates.
  • Colored valid passport scan
  • A valid certificate of good conduct issued by the official authorities
  • Recent passport -size colored photograph
  • A valid Certificate of proficiency test in English:
    • For all programs taught in English: (EmSAT) with a score of 1100 or its equivalent.
    • For Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery: (EmSAT) with a score of 1400 or its equivalent.
    • For all programs taught in Arabic: (EmSAT) with a score of 950 or its equivalent.
  • Arabic language of EmSAT:
    • A score of 1000 for all programs taught in Arabic.
    • A score of 800 for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Ajman University will provide Basic Arabic Language Course for the international students) for the programs mentioned in this point.
    • A score of 600 for all undergraduate Business Administration and Engineering programs. (Ajman University will provide a Basic Arabic Language Course for the international students) for the programs mentioned in this point
  • Mathematics of EmSAT:
    • A score of 600 for all undergraduate Business Administration programs.
    • A score of 800 for Bachelor of Law
    • A score of 900 for Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Pharmacy, and Engineering programs In case the score is not available the applicant must pass the admission exam which will be set up by the college
    • A score of 1100 for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS, In case the score is not available the applicant must pass the admission exam which will be set up by the college
  • An EmSAT score of 800 in Physics for Engineering programs.
  • An EmSAT score of 900 in two of the three science subjects of (Chemistry, Biology or Physics) for Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and Bachelor of Pharmacy, in case the score is not available the applicant must pass the admission exams which will be set up by the college
  • An EmSAT score of 1100 in two of the three science subjects of (Chemistry, Biology or Physics) for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), in case the score is not available the applicant must pass the admission exams which will be set up by the college
  • Kuwaiti Nationals applicants must attach a copy of Kuwaiti Embassy Approval

And then:

  • Submit an online application with the required documents.
  • Pay the application fee of 1300 AED + 5% VAT, for MBBS 2000 AED + 5% VAT

NOTE:

  • Other requirements might apply based on an applicant's specific school system. The Office of Admission and Registration has the right to request any supporting documents.
  • The applicant who does not satisfy the minimum English proficiency requirements may be accepted (in some programs) on a conditional basis and must participate in the English course offered by Continuing Education Centre (CEC).
  • Unattested scans will be accepted to start the application process. However, applicants will be required to show attested original documents in person before enrolling at AU
  • Applicants who applied for the equivalency certificate from the UAE Ministry of Education but did not complete the equivalency process by the time of registration will be allowed to register provided that they sign a conditional admission contract and they must submit a copy of the Ministry of Education application receipt
  • The decision to admit an applicant is made on a competitive basis, considering the number of available seats as determined by the individual college and the applicant’s final CGPA.

2. Upon Acceptance
  • Sit for the personal interview set by the College for the programs of MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, Law, and all undergraduate Business Administration programs.
  • In the case that EmSAT scores in Mathematics and two science subjects are not available, you shall sit an equivalent Admission Exam designed by the College which includes Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics. for the programs of Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmacy.

  • Make plans to attend orientation, registration, and the convocation ceremony (all held on campus one week before the start of classes). 
  • Arrange for your medical check-up click here for Medical Check-up Form, for any inquiry call 067056294 (No medical report test performed outside the UAE is accepted)
3. After Arrival

Please plan to arrive in the U.A.E. at least one week before the start of classes at AU to attend orientation, registration, and the convocation ceremony. You must also complete the following processes in person:

  • Submit all original attested documents and certificates, If you are asked to do that.
  • Apply for the MOE Equivalency, and submit it to the Admissions & Registration office
  • Submit a copy of your UAE residency.
  • Apply for your UAE National ID. The Office of Public Relations will advise on the procedure.
