Ajman University Hosts Engaging CXO Dialogue on Preparing Talent for Industry 5.0

Ajman University convened a high-level CXO panel to explore the critical theme of “Future-Proofing Talent for Industry 5.0.” Leading executives from across the UAE shared forward-thinking perspectives and practical strategies in this dynamic discussion, part of a broader CXO talk series designed to strengthen collaboration between industry and academia. The series aims to foster new insights on pressing topics at the intersection of higher education, economic development, industry innovation, and societal progress.

The distinguished panel featured Mr. Ahmed Aboud, CEO of Ghassan Aboud Group; Capt. Nadhem Alhamad, CEO of Air Arabia Academy; and Mr. Maher Al Kaabi, Advisor to Group Chairman and Independent Board Member, Alserkal Group of Companies. The session was skillfully moderated by Mr. Fadi Tahboush, Director, Ajman University Innovation Center.

Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, underscored the university’s commitment to equipping students with a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and adaptability. “Preparing our students for the complexities of a rapidly evolving world requires a close partnership between academia and industry. Together, we must ready talent to meet the technological, sustainability, and ethical challenges shaping the socio-economic landscape,” he remarked.

Capt. Nadhem Alhamad highlighted the need to reframe perceptions of AI and digital transformation—not as threats but as essential tools that enhance human capabilities. He also emphasized the importance of evaluating the return on investment before adopting new technologies aimed at boosting workforce productivity.

Mr. Ahmed Aboud stressed the continuous need for organizations to invest in upskilling their workforce to stay agile amid shifting business demands.

Mr. Maher Al Kaabi advocated for the integration of ethics and values in education, arguing that a strong moral foundation is vital for fostering global peace and sustainable development. He noted that prioritizing ethical principles today can help reduce conflicts and drive long-term progress.
