Ajman University Organizes the Fine Arts Carnival and the University Creativity Festival

Ajman University hosted the Fine Arts Carnival 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Center on campus, bringing together a distinguished group of artists and students from various colleges. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Khaled Assaleh, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed Helal, Director of the Office of Student Life, in the presence of members of the academic and administrative staff.

The Arts Carnival was organized by the Fine Arts Center at the Office of Student Life, under the supervision of Ms. Mona Jebali, Senior Officer, Arts and Student Activities, aiming to foster artistic and cultural exchange between artists and creative students, inspire youth, and nurture their passion for art and culture. The carnival provided an interactive artistic platform that allowed emerging talents to showcase their creations and express their innovation in a university environment that celebrates diversity and creativity.

This year’s edition centered around the theme of “Expressive Art,” highlighting the diversity of artistic schools and techniques that reflect the artists’ emotions and human experiences. The showcased works represented realism, surrealism, abstraction, and impressionism, offering a rich experience that celebrated different artistic visions and creative approaches. The carnival featured over 30 artists from around the world, who presented a variety of artistic pieces ranging from paintings to sculptures made from mixed materials.

The exhibition included more than 200 artworks, crafted with exceptional skill and professionalism, showcasing examples of contemporary creativity that blends beauty with human expression. The event also provided students with the opportunity to explore diverse artistic experiences and engage directly with participating artists, enriching their learning journey and enhancing their artistic skills.

The University also hosted the University Creativity Festival, with the participation of six universities from across the UAE. The festival featured a visual arts competition focused on expressive art, where the top three winners were awarded. In addition, participating artists delivered hands-on workshops in which they shared their artistic styles and techniques with students. The festival aimed to foster communication and artistic exchange between students and artists, while providing an opportunity to explore diverse art schools and expand their creative knowledge in a supportive environment.

Ajman University continues to promote cultural and artistic awareness among its students by providing a stimulating educational environment that encourages them to develop their creative abilities and explore diverse artistic styles and techniques through specialized workshops and training programs in various fields of fine arts.
