The Korean Cultural Club welcomed a distinguished delegation from Sahmyook University, transforming what might have been a routine visit into a dynamic celebration of cross-cultural understanding and shared values. While international partnerships are often defined by formal agreements, this exchange at Ajman University demonstrated the profound impact of authentic student engagement and purposeful collaboration.
The visit reimagined the Student Hub as a vibrant nexus of cultural exchange. Ajman University students assumed leadership as hosts, fostering meaningful dialogue and facilitating the exchange of language and tradition. Through sharing insights into local customs and daily life, our students provided their Sahmyook peers with an immersive understanding of our community—an experience that transcends the boundaries of conventional learning.
The day was intentionally structured to promote active engagement and meaningful interaction. The delegation explored the core of campus life, engaging with the Office of Student Life, visiting the library, and touring the CCEE hall. Yet, it was during the thoughtfully curated social activities that the spirit of collaboration truly flourished. Music and shared traditions, such as Henna, fostered a sense of belonging, while team-based games and the exchange of personal gifts underscored the values of camaraderie and mutual respect.
While the visit may have appeared to be a simple campus tour, it was, in fact, a defining moment where authentic cultural exchange took root. When students engage as peers, they discover that the most enduring connections are forged through shared experiences and mutual understanding. This initiative, led by the Korean Cultural Club, stands as a testament to our university’s dedication to fostering global citizenship and building a campus community grounded in respect, inclusivity, and international collaboration.
