Students from the Yemeni Cultural Club, the Finance and Accounting Club, and the Media Club have demonstrated a powerful impact, aligning with the Office of Student Life’s commitment to inclusiveness and excellence. Through their collaborative, student-led business bazaar, these clubs created an inclusive platform that brought AU students from diverse backgrounds, ages, and stages of entrepreneurship under one roof.
AU Bazaar is designed to be more than a student fair. This hands-on launchpad for aspiring entrepreneurs where ideas meet market reality, and students build the skills that matter in the real world. Students practice selling, pitching, and talking to real customers, which builds their communication and teamwork skills. They also learn how to turn ideas into real projects that can grow. The event gives students confidence, helps them test their business ideas through customer feedback, and encourages an entrepreneurial mindset.
The event featured beautiful night lights illuminating the buildings and live student performances by Ahmed Akram on piano, Cristian Jay on electronic drums, and Meziad Alrahwan on oud. These enhancements led to higher attendance, deeper engagement, and a significantly stronger entrepreneurial atmosphere compared to last year.
As a result, over thirty student businesses participated offering food and drinks, perfumes and candles, abayas and clothing, handmade bags and accessories, jewellery and crochet items, artwork and paintings, henna, flowers, and a photobooth. Throughout the event, Ajman University’s vision of inclusiveness to life, empowering students to turn ideas into opportunities and each other into partners in learning. Students interested in participating in next year’s Bazaar ought to sign-up a form shared by the Office of Student Life and the University’s official channels. Updates will also be communicated through email, and social media channels.
