During Ajman University's Winter Fest 2022, themed "Bringing you closer to the Community," the university organized a visit to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Ajman. The purpose was to raise awareness about the natural and cultural aspects of the UAE among young students. Students from seven schools across four emirates participated in the visit and had the opportunity to interact with child patients. They also shared gifts with the young patients, bringing joy and compassion to their lives during the festive season.
The experience allowed the participants to deepen their understanding of the community, instill empathy and social responsibility values, and connect with their cultural and natural heritage. This initiative aligns with SDG #3, emphasizing good health and well-being for all ages. It reflects Ajman University's commitment to promoting the community's and its students' well-being. By allowing students to interact with young patients and engage in acts of kindness, the university contributes to a healthier, more empathetic society.
