Ajman University Hosts New Student Orientation Week Under the Theme ' Succeeding at AU '

The Office of Student Life at the Deanship of Student Services at Ajman University organized a series of events for the New Student Orientation Week for the Fall 2025-26 semester, under the theme " Succeeding at AU."

The week began with a special reception for new students and their parents, followed the next day by presentations from various departments, including the Deanship of Student Services, Registration, Finance, Information Technology, the Library, Facilities and Transportation, Masar Career Excellence, Medical Services, Scholarships and Financial Aid, as well as the Office of International Academic Affairs and the Office of Community Engagement.

The program also featured a variety of workshops, sessions, and interactive activities. The Counseling Unit organized a workshop titled “From School to University: Start Your Academic Journey with Confidence and Excellence,” and, in collaboration with the Center for Inclusive Learning, delivered a lecture titled “Because You Deserve Support: Learn When and Where to Ask for It.” Together with the center, the unit also held a student gathering titled “Inclusion Begins with Small Steps: Together We Achieve Our Goals and Succeed.” Additional workshops included “Adapting to Continuous Challenges and Changes” and a lecture titled “Your Mental Health Is the Key to Overcoming Challenges in Your Academic Journey,” delivered in collaboration with the Center for Inclusive Learning.

The Office of Medical Services conducted an introductory session on the health services available to students, faculty, and staff, aimed at raising awareness of available resources and promoting a healthy and safe campus environment. The Office of International Academic Affairs also organized an orientation session for international students to introduce them to academic regulations and university services.

The Office of Student Life hosted a Student Life Open House that featured a rich entertainment program including cultural, artistic, and sports activities, along with a variety of competitions. The office also organized fine arts introductory sessions for female students titled “The Importance of Fine Arts in Our Lives,” showcasing their work, as well as a separate session for male students. Additionally, sports activities were introduced to both male and female students, giving them the opportunity to meet coaches and register for university teams. The program further included a cultural presentation titled “Discover the UAE – The UAE: Icon of Heritage and Modernity,” which offered insights into the culture, society, and key landmarks of the country, alongside a field trip to Ajman Museum.

The Office of Sustainability organized a session titled “Emergency Preparedness, Sustainability, and Climate Action” to raise awareness among new students about safety procedures, strengthen their readiness to respond to emergencies, and reinforce the principles of sustainability and climate action.

The Orientation Week for new students reflects Ajman University's commitment to providing a comprehensive and integrated educational experience. Through a diverse range of events and workshops covering various aspects of academic and professional life, the university aims to enhance the student experience, facilitate their adaptation to university life, and equip them with the tools needed for success in their academic and professional journey.
