The Ajman University Women’s Basketball Team secured third place in the UAE University Games Championship at the national level, following a distinguished participation and solid performance throughout the tournament.
This achievement came after a match against Abu Dhabi University, during which Ajman University students demonstrated strong sportsmanship and a clear commitment to representing the University in a positive manner.
The championship witnessed the participation of 47 universities and more than 2,700 students competing in 700 matches across 8 different sports, including basketball.
This accomplishment adds to Ajman University’s record of sports participation and reflects the efforts of the Athletics Unit in supporting female students and encouraging them to participate in sports competitions.
The team included Zeina Mohammad Atta Al Buhaisi – Team Captain, Asmaa Haqi Haqi, Zainab Haqi Haqi, Sawsan Ahmad Deek, Lana Basel Abdul Fattah Khalil, Sama Ahmad Al Sayyad, Nada Minhaj Qasim, Rawda Mostafa Ahmad Abduljawad Faraj, Ghina Fadi Al Hasani, Katia Mohammad Younes, Yasmeen Moaz Ghoush, and Celine Oudae Yousof. The team was supervised by Women’s Basketball Coach Ebtisam Ahmad.
This achievement reflects the efforts of the Athletics Unit in enhancing student participation in sports activities, supporting student talents, and promoting a culture of teamwork, commitment, and excellence across different fields.
