Ajman University's First Aid Club (Male), under the Office of Student Life, brought life-saving skills into the classroom at Al Shola American Private School, Ajman, leading a hands-on CPR workshop that gave Grade 6 students direct experience in emergency response. Under the supervision of Senior Lecturer Mrs. Alaa Al Amiry and sponsored by Desert Rain Company, students moved from theory to practice as they learned how to recognize an emergency, call for help, and perform CPR with accuracy and confidence.
The session was led by active club members and supported by advanced CPR manikins that provided real-time feedback on each compression and rescue breath. Rather than serving as a passive introduction to first aid, the workshop gave students the opportunity to build muscle memory, develop confidence, and practice staying calm under pressure. These are skills that become especially important when every second matters during an emergency.
Beyond the technical training, the session cultivated a broader sense of responsibility. Students practiced clear communication during simulated emergencies, supported one another throughout the exercises, and gained a deeper understanding of how a trained and timely response can influence outcomes and potentially save lives.
The initiative reflected Ajman University's commitment to community well-being. Demonstrating how that commitment extends beyond campus by equipping younger generations with practical knowledge and essential life skills. For the students at Al Shola, the workshop was not simply a lesson to remember. It was a skill they could carry forward and apply when it matters most.
