Emerging Media Talent: Students Showcase Diverse Graduation Projects on Sustainability and Technology

The College of Mass Communication at Ajman University organized a session to showcase the graduation projects of 11 students. The session was attended by the Dean, Dr. Hossam Salama, faculty members, and students' parents.

Dr. Amal Badr, Associate Professor, supervised the execution of the projects, which included a wide range of media works. A comprehensive presentation was given for 27 diverse projects, including music video production, advertisements, dramatic works, and documentaries.

These projects focused on the theme of sustainability, aligning with the announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, declaring 2023 as the "Year of Sustainability" in the country. These works featured informative advertisements highlighting the repercussions of unsustainable practices in addressing climate change.  Other projects emphasized the importance of preserving water, marine, and terrestrial environments. In addition, students presented promotional advertisements for various products and documentaries showcasing landmarks in the UAE, such as the Etihad Museum. These projects also included dramatic works shedding light on students' university life and addressed issues related to cybercrime and challenges associated with artificial intelligence.

All of these projects reflected the multi-faceted creativity demonstrated by students in producing media content that addresses various aspects of daily life and contemporary issues.

The College of Mass Communication is committed to providing support and guidance, ensuring that students get maximum benefit from their graduation projects. These projects are regarded as pivotal turning points in their academic journeys. Furthermore, the showcased projects reflect the practical skills acquired by students during their study period, serving as a unique platform for them to express their creativity and develop their ideas across fields of media. This enables students to effectively employ their skills and experiences.
