Ajman University College of Medicine Celebrates Healthcare Simulation Week 2025
The College of Medicine at Ajman University celebrated Healthcare Simulation Week 2025 under the theme “United Through Simulation.” The event brought together students from Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Biomedical Engineering programs for an engaging week of interactive competitions, creative showcases, and hands-on clinical challenges.
From high-pressure CPR drills to surgical safety simulations, escape-room–style medical puzzles, and a moulage wound-creation challenge, the week showcased the power of simulation to sharpen clinical reasoning, enhance patient safety, and strengthen interprofessional teamwork. Students also explored the human side of care through art, poetry, and storytelling in The ARTery of Care, while Biomedical Engineering students presented innovative projects aimed at addressing future healthcare needs.

- SIMLock Holmes – an escape-room–style medical mystery testing teamwork, diagnostic thinking, and communication.
- Signed In, Checked Out – a surgical safety simulation reinforcing error prevention in the operating theatre.
- CPR: Code, Pulse, Rescue! – an emergency challenge assessing accuracy, speed, and adherence to life-saving protocols.
- Scars & Stories – a moulage competition blending creativity with trauma realism.
- Whispers in the Ward – a ward-round scenario testing subtle communication and clinical reasoning.
- The ARTery of Care – art and performance celebrating empathy, collaboration, and healing.
- BME Innovations – student-led projects showcasing technology-driven healthcare solutions.
Through these immersive experiences, participants enhanced their clinical knowledge, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills—while also embracing empathy, creativity, and innovation as essential components of modern healthcare.
