Ajman University's Female Student Health Club Brings Breast Cancer Awareness Workshop to Sharjah International Private School

Ajman University's Female Student Health Club, under the Office of Student Life,  brought breast cancer awareness directly to students at Sharjah International Private School, hosting an educational workshop for Grade 11 and 12 students designed to inform, build confidence, and encourage proactive health habits. The session gave students a clear and accessible introduction to one of the most important women's health topics at an age when that knowledge matters most.

Ajman University students walked attendees through what breast cancer is, the key risk factors, and why early detection is critical. The information was grounded in practical steps students can take to protect their own health and support the people around them.

Learning Through Play

An interactive Kahoot quiz brought energy to the session, turning learning into an engaging, fast-paced experience where students tested their knowledge, challenged common myths, and discussed surprising facts in real time. Hands-on awareness activities reinforced the core messages of monthly self-checks, recognizing early warning signs, and knowing when and how to seek medical advice.

Turning Awareness Into Action

The session carried a clear purpose. Early detection saves lives, and when students understand what changes to look for and feel confident enough to act on them, they become health advocates — not just for themselves, but for their families and communities.
