AU Female Student Council Organizes Breast Cancer Awareness Educational Workshop at Woodlem British School
As part of its efforts to enhance community health awareness, the AU Female Student Council organized an initiative at Woodlem British School, aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and promoting healthy lifestyle practices among high school students.
This initiative aligns with Ajman University’s commitment to strengthening community partnerships and spreading health knowledge beyond campus. The event was attended by representatives from the Private Education Affairs Office, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities and schools in fostering a health-conscious and socially responsible generation.
The workshop included an interactive educational session covering key information about breast cancer, early detection methods, and the importance of regular screenings. It also highlighted healthy lifestyle habits such as balanced nutrition, physical activity, and mental well-being. Informational pamphlets were distributed to reinforce key messages and encourage students to adopt positive health behaviors.
The initiative featured engaging activities, including a Kahoot quiz that promoted participation in a fun and interactive way. A creative element was added through a photo booth and a face-painting corner inspired by the Pink Ribbon campaign, symbolizing hope and solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.
The event concluded with motivational awareness messages emphasizing the importance of prevention and health education. Students expressed appreciation for the information shared and showed strong interest in applying it to their daily lives.
This initiative reflects Ajman University’s dedication to strengthening community responsibility and promoting preventive health awareness across different segments of society.
