As part of the ongoing summer internship program, as many as 70 B.A students from the College of Business Administration at Ajman University of Science and Technology have joined several organizations, departments, as well as public, private and semi-public companies for an eight-week long internship. This industrial internship aims at providing the interns with the necessary skills that qualify them to penetrate the job market immediately after graduation with a Bachelor s degree.

In this regard, Dr. Mohamed Al-Shami, Dean of the College of Business Administration, has said that "in addition to the importance of the internship for students to practice what they have learnt in the classrooms, it is also an opportunity for them to keep in touch with their teachers for feedback and enquiries about any shortcomings or problems they may encounter during the internship."

Dr. Al-Shami has also underlined AUST s keenness to assign its students to the most appropriate locations for industrial internship taking into account the student s specialization and the adequacy of the training program. At the end of their internships, students are required to submit reports and make presentations before evaluation committees formed for this reason.
