A delegation from the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Dubai paid a visit to Ajman University of Science and Technology to assess the status of Kuwait students enrolled in AUST and to discuss ways for improving cooperation between both sides.
Dr. Saleh Yassin Ali, head of the Cultural Office, and Dr. Ossama Yousef, the Kuwaiti Cultural Attaché, were received by Dr. Ahmad Ankit, AUST Vice President for External Relations and Cultural Affairs; Dr. Mohamed Djeddi, Dean of Admissions and Registration; Dr. Khaled Al-Khaja, Dean of College of Information, Mass Communication and Humanities; Dr. Mohamed Shirzad, Manager of University Services and Facilities; Mrs. Inas Daraji, student activities supervisor at the Deanship of Student Affairs; and Mrs. Hiba Al Khatib, Scholarship and Delegations officer.
The Kuwaiti guests were briefed on the latest programs accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, as well as the situation of Kuwaiti students in AUST. “Ajman University praise itself on its rich tapestry of cultural and ethnical diversity that has always been a fundamental component of its objectives.” Said AUST Vice President, who commended the good relations which bind together the University and the Consulate General of Kuwait, through the Cultural Office in Dubai, as well as several Kuwaiti higher education institutions. Dr. Ankit also praised the good level of Kuwaiti students who can generally be found everywhere in AUST 9 colleges.
On his part, Dr. Saleh Yassin congratulated his hosts for the excellent reputation the University has amassed abroad, not only in the State of Kuwait, but also in the GCC and other Arab countries.
After the meeting the Kuwaiti delegation toured the different AUST colleges and facilities and met with a number of their fellow Kuwaiti students.
