A delegation from AL-Jazerra university visits AUST

A delegation from the Sudan-based AL-Jazeera University visited Ajman University of Science & Technology to discuss cooperation opportunities between the two institutions. The delegation was headed by Prof. Mohammed Waraq, Director of the University who was accompanied by Prof. Abdullah Mohammed Elhassan, Dean of the College of Science & Environment.

The delegation was received by Dr. Ahmed Ankit, AUST Vice-President for External Relations and Cultural Affairs along with Prof. Abduladhim Ali Ahmad, Director General of AUST Medical Innovation Environment Commission.

Dr. Ankit briefed the delegation on the history of AUST and its threefold vision of Education, Information and Investment. He also introduced the guests to AUST colleges and academic programs.

For his part, Dr. Omar of Al-Jazeera expressed his gratitude to AUST administration for receiving the delegation and presented a brief history of Al-Jazeera University focusing on areas of similarity between the two institutions in terms of the educational mission, research and academic programs.

The two parts agreed to exchange information and experience in the domains of student training, organizing events to celebrate the international day for water and environment as well as supporting student projects.

In the end, Dr. Ankit thanked the Sudanese delegation for paying this visit to Ajman University and pointed out that all means of communication are open between to work together for the benefit of the two universities.
