Ajman University Students Visit Al-Mamzar Elderly Center

In celebration of the International Day for the Elderly, the Department of Community Service of Ajman University of Science & Technology organized a student visit to Dubai’s Al-Mamzar Center for the Elderly.

Visiting students had the chance to share a late breakfast with the center’s residents and chat with them on their lives and their memories of good old days. Mrs. Nour Sharghouri, of the community service department, stated that the purpose of the visit is to better integrate the students in their local community and nourish their sense of social responsibility.

The visiting students presented a data show projector as gift to the center which can be used for instructive purposes or by the administration.

Al Mamzar Center for the Elderly was founded by Dubai Health Authority to care for the elderly without replacing the home, and to complement the role of the family in caring for their older loved ones. Varied care and services are available to make sure the elderly’s needs are well met.
