Ajman University Eliminates American University of Sharjah in Basketball

As part of the UAE Higher Education Sports Federation Championship, the basketball team of Ajman University of Science and Technology triumphed 50-48 over their counterparts from American University of Sharjah to qualify to the quarterfinals. 

It was an incredibly exciting game as both sides were determined to book their place in the quarterfinals. The intensity of the spectacle was at its peak during the whole match which was so close that the result was not decided until the last seconds of the competition.

The large crowds who witnessed the game celebrated the victory of AUST team and gave a round of applause to the remarkable performance of its outstanding players. Captain Abdulhamid Bakour, AUST Sports Activities Supervisor, said “participation in such competitions is of great importance in building the personality of our students and promoting the spirit of fair play among them.”
