The Student Affairs Department of Ajman University of Science & Technology organized recently a chess tournament which witnessed an astounding turnout of students from all AUST departments and colleges.
This tournament comes in line with the activities developed to train and prepare AUST students who are participating in the chess championship to be organized by the Higher Education Sports Federation starting next week in Dubai. Ajman University will be represented by this tournament’s winners.
The first place was secured by student Amr Nassir, from the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. In the second place was Mohammed Eid, from the College of Dentistry while the third place went to biomedical student Mohammed Nasser, from the College of Engineering. The winners were honored and encouraged by the student affairs department through gifts and mementos.
