AUST Students Introduced to Tamaiaz and Falak Tayeb Award

A series of introductory lectures on the Tamaiaz and Falak Tayeb Award, which translates into ‘Be distinguished and your dreams will be fulfilled’, were organized at Ajman University of Science and Technology by the award’s steering committee. The 2-day lectures provided AUST students from different colleges and majors with an overall introduction to the award, its main goals and objectives.

Eman Al Hammadi, Director General of the Award, stated that “capitalizing on and honing students’ talents, supporting local academic institutions to embrace and develop the creativeness and capabilities of tomorrow’s leaders, actively participating in the Emiratisation process, and motivating talented and innovative young people in all areas are the prime objectives of this initiative.”

She praised the efforts and patronage of His Highness Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, which culminated in the active and positive role of the award and the impressive achievements it has attained at the UAE level in terms of the enhancement of Emiritisation policy in the private sector and promotion of a creative, competitive atmosphere among Emirati university finalists and fresh graduates.

The total winners of the award in its previous editions have been employed by one hundred percent, 60 percent of whom were hired in the private sector while the remaining 40 percent joined the government sector, organizers say. In addition to that, the award management has also held training courses and workshops for employees to help develop their skills, improve their performance at work and prepare them for leadership positions in the future.

At the end of the visit, Mrs. Al Hammadi extended her thanks and appreciation to Ajman University for its vigorous role in supporting and encouraging such initiatives and its willingness to take the lead in community service and development.
