Ajman University honored at the World Blood Donor Day

Under the slogan, “Thank you for saving my life" the Ministry of Health held a ceremony in Hilton Sharjah, wherein Ajman University of Science & Technology was honored along with other prominent supporters of the cause.

Ajman University of Science and Technology was honored to receive the leading supporters award for its contribution to blood transfusion services. Mr. Salim Derbas, student activity coordinator represented Ajman University at the event.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Rand, Assistant Undersecretary of the sector clinics and health centers and Chairman of the Higher National Committee for Blood Transfusion Services and Dr. May Yassin Raouf, Medical Director of the Center for Blood Transfusion Services.

The Department of Student Affairs at Ajman University organizes blood donation campaigns among university students and its members on a regular basis in collaboration with the Center for blood transfusion services and research in Sharjah under the Ministry of Health.
